More and more of the "special sites" are disappearing from our road sides. These pics were taking at the famous Tiger Truckstop on I 10 in Louisiana. .....

Starcar, I agree with you on that. Nothing as bad as watching a caged animal living outside of its habitat. Very sad!!!

Might want to read up on this tiger. He is treated better than most zoos and no one complains about the treatment of most zoos animals which are deplorable at best in most cases. He can't be put with other wild or half wild tigers cause he would not last. Don't go by my pics. His enclosure is alot bigger than that. He even has heat and AC depending on the weather.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

I remember the B&I in Tacoma having Ivan the gorilla for over 20 years. We used to love to go see him.

"Outside his environment . . . " as in when he/she is out of the truck? A rolling "cage" I guess . . .

Jopa/Guyjax, was he born in captivity? Just curious. I come from a country where animals live and wander freely in their natural habitat-Serengeti (though poachers are trying their best to destroy this). I know that tigers are mainly in Asia hence my comments!!

I forget the whole story on all the tigers that have been there over the years but Tony ,yes that's his name, has been there from day one.
