I wanted to be able to study it on the bus trip and was concerned I would not have power for my laptop so I went through every lesson and copied and pasted it all onto a Word document and printed it out. 60 pages of great info. I started reading it and will finish it tomorrow on the trip, along with the Pre-trip inspection materials.

I get the logbook and the restrictions, now I just have to learn how to manage it. ($$$$) More great stuff Brett!!! Can't thank you enough, man.

Pre-trip Inspection:

A pre-trip inspection is a thorough inspection of the truck completed before driving for the first time each day.

Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.

Logbook:

A written or electronic record of a driver's duty status which must be maintained at all times. The driver records the amount of time spent driving, on-duty not driving, in the sleeper berth, or off duty. The enforcement of the Hours Of Service Rules (HOS) are based upon the entries put in a driver's logbook.

Some do, some don't. I was not lucky enough to get one that did last time I had to ride.
