Who's going to be there? I should be arriving Monday-Tuesday and my student will be testing on Thursday. Will have plenty of hours to spend helping you folks.

I'll be going over the pre-trip inspection as well as some backing, in person. Yes, you'll be able to watch me back up with details of what I'm doing and how! As well as get a giant headstart on the pretrip inspection.

I need some extracurricular activities to burn off these several days. I'd rather keep myself busy than sit down all day eating like all the other truckers.

So... who's going to be there this coming week? And who's in?

Pre-trip Inspection:

A pre-trip inspection is a thorough inspection of the truck completed before driving for the first time each day.

Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.

It would be really sweet if someone did a bit of video to post here on this "party." You know so we don't feel left out. ;-)

I will be arriving on Sunday. I will gladly take you up on the training offer. I'll be studying the Pre-Trip Inspection on the way there.

Thanks for the offer and I look forward to meeting you.

Stuck at St Louis bus terminal. Instead of getting there at 1pm I will get there at 10:30pm. Had bus mechanical problem in Birmingham.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Oh man, we went through St. Lious 1.5 hours ago. I wish we found out about this two hours ago.

That stinks Randy! Man, I couldn't imagine going on a bus for such a distance. When I was going to college in Springfield, MO (17 years ago or so), I used to run non-stop from home in Mechanicsburg, PA. It took me around 17 hours. I always used Terre Haute as my 1/2 way rest stop, even though that's not quite 1/2 way.

Me and Ken just landed. Look for a redneck and a short russian with a red shirt.

Don't forget, I'm in room 179 if anyone wants to get together this evening. I am also at the library and have to walk back if anyone wants to give me a ride!
