Do not understand any of the following....help!

Paid on Practical miles / not "shortest" miles! Pays for all lumper fees 98% No Touch Paid Detention Escalating Stop Pay Short Haul Pay

OK...I can't help you on the "practical Miles" since I was an O/O, and we were paid differently...you'll have to get that answer in the regular forum, where I see you posted these same questions. The company pays the "lumpers "( the guys who will unload your trailer)...so you don't have to pay it...Can cost quite a bit. 98% no touch frieght...in other words YOU won't be expected to unload...98% of the time...lumping a trailer full of freight is nauseous.. Setentioin pay is what they give you when you are stuck waiting (for a given amount of time) to get loaded or unloaded..... Escalating Stop Pay...(you may get that explained on the other forum,,, I don't have a clue) Short haul pay....short trips are crappy...you end up with more time sitting and waiting....when the wheels don't turn, you don't get paid. So a company may pay more to the drivers for them to do the short runs...
