Idling/apu's

Most aspects of the trucking biz seem great to be except one. I don't like being covered in sweat very much. If it's a burning hot night i'm going to want air conditioning ideally, so how exactly does this work? I've seen somewhat random things about being allowed to idle or having apu's or whatnot. Can i look forward to being able to stay somewhat cool or i should be prepared to roast in the summer?
Most drivers out there go 75 in a 45 MPH construction zone . . . think they worry about "No Idle" laws??

People that go 75 in 45 mph zones are plain stupid and don't deserve to live.
APU:
Auxiliary Power Unit
On tractor trailers, and APU is a small diesel engine that powers a heat and air conditioning unit while charging the truck's main batteries at the same time. This allows the driver to remain comfortable in the cab and have access to electric power without running the main truck engine.
Having an APU helps save money in fuel costs and saves wear and tear on the main engine, though they tend to be expensive to install and maintain. Therefore only a very small percentage of the trucks on the road today come equipped with an APU.
