AND NOW i HAVETA START BACK AT ZERO ?????

I wasn't sure what to do about the post count. I'm setting up a system to identify our core members so people know where their advice is coming from. So the veterans from the old forum will have special identification very soon.

I'm going to change the join date for a few of the core members to reflect when they joined the old forum. I thought about changing the post count to reflect those from the old forum also but wasn't sure if that would confuse people or not. See, I'm going to have a way of viewing all posts from a certain member and if it says you have 2,421 posts but there's only 30 shown (because you only have 30 in the new forum), people are gonna be like "Where's all the rest?"

So I'm not sure about updating the post count but I will be updating the date joined and status for certain members.

Try adding a ranking system. There is another site that I frequent that has great forums. It's called Neoseeker and it's mostly focused on movies, books, and games. You should check it out.

Thanks! I just went and checked it out. I see what you're referring to - Elite Seeker, Legendary Seeker, Moderator, etc - that kind of thing? That's pretty much what I'm going to do. I'm going to designate which people here are the core members with good trucking experience so everyone knows who they're getting advice from.

Hey, I worked hard on mine too. But sometimes you gotta start from scratch.. HAHA

Not necessarily. Even banks will let you start a new order of checks on a brand new account at 1001 (for those who still use checks).

And that self-edit feature is a must. Think I'll stifle myself 'til that's added!

Brett,

It seems I can't switch between the forums unless I have a thread open. Can we have all three titles listed at top of the page? Perhaps with current one in the center and larger than other two? The other two being links.

Thanks for changing the font and getting rid of shadow effects.

Ok, we now have a "home" link that will take you to the forum homepage for all categories. I didn't want to list all of the categories because there could be more added in the future and it might get awful crowded if we list them all. So I made a link to the home page for all categories.

Thanks for changing the font and getting rid of shadow effects.

You bet!
