Nope. I am not going to tell you. It's a closely guarded secret and would have to kill ya if I told you anything....

SSeriously you will need to ask questions cause I can tell ya electrical tape can stop a leak with the hole the size of a quarter in a low pressure water line in the coolant system of a truck. - 30 degree windshield washer fluid works great for melting ice so you can get traction for your Wheeler. Never use cat litter cause it's mostly made of clay and once it gets wet it turns to a slippery mush under your tires. The most important person in your life is your dispatcher once you start driving.

And a few more. Don't eat yellow snow... . If your tire is flat it probably means you have no air in the tire and should get it looked at... Don't leave your turn signal on to long or you will run out of blinker fluid...... During the winter time is very important to check that your spark plugs are corrosion free so the truck will start easier........ For a quick snack while going through any of the southern States just roll your window down and stick your head out and open your mouth while your driving. Good source of protein. Lol ok so I had to through these in. They never get old.

But seriously the best possible advice that I can give you or give anyone and since I have been doing it so long I drive myself nuts sometimes.....

Always double check your work. Hooking up trailers. Checking the 5th wheel. Making sure the air lines are attached and secure. Once all that is done then look again.

There have been times where I have done all that and was sure positive everything was done by the book but low and behold I would get in the truck and my brother would ask about something concerning the pickup or dropping process I was, just a second ago positive about, now it nags me and I HAVE to get out and go recheck the thing he asked about. If you have to question yourself to see if you did something then it's always best to go and check it again.

It drives me crazy when I watch people go into the truck stop or just leave sight of their truck and when they come back they hop in and take off without check anything at all.

Dispatcher:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
