The $150 upfront is for a non refundable seat reservation fee, the school is $3900.

So do you get your physical and drug test done before you show up? I mean I would be ****ed if i showed up and payed 150 and then didnt pass a physical or was told to leave or something other than not failing the driving lol.. I cant think of any other schools who charge 150 off top non refundable, although im sure i could find another

I say you should use the wife and teachers, anyone and everyone I that you have worked with in the last 8 years......what you did was a full time job. Have them write a statement of you being a responsible person and always on time and finished everything ....work well with others.....lol don't cut yourself short. Hey tell them you were self employed.... When it comes down to it it just needs to look good on paper for a file :-)

I have been a stay home dad for 8 years since I got out of the military, my wife has a good job but works many hours and we both wanted our kids, in the early years, "hands on" by one of us.. So now my youngest daughter is in middle school I want to get my own career underway.. I am only in my early 30s and I acquired my cdl permit early this month and my job history is destroying my chances at a career in this industry, I dont know what to do.. can anyone help?

you have to have your CDL permit, in VA you have to have a DOT physical to even get the permit.

I sent you a PM with my recruiters info she has answered all my questions. She told me hes worked for Swift for 17 years and been a recuiter for about 1.

In my research i have found people who were homeless and unemployed a Swift took them and basically gave them a new life. Like i said i have not been told about a seating fee, but i will call her money just to get everything ironed out as to what i need. I also went though the papers i have and there is nothing about a seating fee in them, just a max of 45 bucks for the CDL, the 500 room fee (can be payrole deducted) and money for food/ personal expensis

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

We should get ahold of brett and find out/let him know what ever the case: bc your fixing to go to school and what your going to have to pay is completely different than what he has posted for information about swift..
