Recruiter Not Responding

Hey guys! Recruiter called me said everything was a go. Sent me an e-mail for orientation and that was the last time I spoke to him, oh yeah and said I would get my information to take the Grey Hound by mail. He said " Any questions, call me." Now I have a problem..... When I told my boss which is also my landlord that I'm leaving, He said my family had 1 month to get out of the apartment they are in. I'm trying to call the recruiter to see if it would be a problem to push back orientation until my family is safe, no response, no call back, nothing. Sooooo, it seems like he's done speaking, comfortable with the sale he's made and just sending the bus ticket anyway. Should I try a direct line to the company if there is any, should I just go and let the chips fall where they may (not very responsible), Or explain my situation to an other company that is more flexible with these matters. One of my BIG concerns is that if I don't honor the orientation, I will mess up my reputation for any future opportunities with trucking. Sincerely yours, Aspiring Trucker Extraordinaire.

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

You're not obligated to any commitments till you get on that bus and show up for orientation. If they won't respond to your calls or emails, look at other companies that are willing to work with you. Do what's best for you!

You can try other numbers and trying to reach someone, but I would wonder how the rest of that company is run???. As stated your not obligated and you need to take care of your family first. Every company out there are hungry for people. Its a matter of your choice really. Pretty crappy of your boss though. Sorry to hear that
