I certainly am no expert in this but i did do alot of research and what i found is that most companies are looking at 3 years or less except for reckless driving or dui's. I am sure the trucking gods here will chime in with much more reliable info for you though.
Driving Under the Influence
Ricky is right. Most companies go back 3 years for accidents and normal tickets but often go back further for things like DUI's, felonies, and reckless driving. Each company will have a different set of criteria they go by but most of them will look at the circumstances of the ticket and accident. You say it was minor so that will make a difference for sure.
You'll likely find that some companies will turn you down until that gets to the 5 year mark but others will give you a chance. That incident alone will not keep you out of trucking.

I would like to start a career in truck driving however 3 years and 2 months ago I was in a minor accident that resulted in a careless driving ticket. My driving record is clean otherwise, will this affect me finding a job?
