Ok,i have been watching some videos on you tube on shifting 10,13,18 speed transmission's. Question is, do all trucks have hi-low with a splitter,or do some have just a hi-low without a splitter. Kind of a corney question, but it ran across my mind, and of course i had to ask all the experts!!!!!!!! Thanks much for any input!!!! Gary

Gary, a regular ten speed will have high and low. The thirteen and eighteen have the additional splitter.

I slip seat and some of our trucks are straight 7 with no high/low. God I hate it when I reach down and find out there is no selector!!!!!!!

Only if we could all drive those nice Autos! (They have their problems too)

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Wait until you hit a super 10 or a 15 speed... LOL So many choices, so much confusion... Then the shift pattern is worn off... LOL

The pattern is gone on most of our trucks. I usually do not know that I'm in a 10 speed until I flip the selector and grind trying to go into 6th LOL.
