I just want to jump back into this discussion and clarify the ideas behind my earlier statements. I in no way intended for it to sound like I expect Dejuan to let himself get walked all over during training. But any one who is new to this needs to realize that you may just end up ruining your chance at this career if you think this is all going to be handed to you on a silver platter. Both Daniel B. and I had terrible trainers and we know what it is like to have to deal with these guys. I've also seen multiple numbers of newbies come in here crying to us about their trainer, refusing our advice, and then trying to report them to the company. You know what? We never hear from them again usually. Did they go on to get their dream jobs? I doubt that or they would have jumped back in here to tell us about their success.
It is tough breaking in to this job. Having to deal with a bad trainer is actually good for your chances of success at this stuff. You will learn how to deal with constant adversity and uncontrollable issues arising on a daily basis. This is the kind of stuff a professional driver deals with every day anyway. There are so many drivers out here who look to me like their blood pressure is about to blow a gasket because they do not know how to conduct themselves in a difficult situation. I think your training time should be devoted to training, but it's just not a perfect world. My advise is to take the cards you've been dealt and make a winning hand out of them. I was told at the end of my training by the suits in the office that it was all basically a test to see if I had the right stuff to make it. Your idea of training and their idea of training are sometimes two very different things. My training experiences were documented in the old forum and one of the blogs, so I'm not just blowing smoke. I've dealt with all this kind of stuff and you guys can do it also. I established myself as a top tier driver after having a crazy trainer, so there's some solid evidence for you that you don't have to have a perfect trainer to get yourself established in this career.

You can always pee in his truck, that might turn things around. Sorry that's my sick sense of humor kicking in.
