I think something has changed or it reverted back to default timing for log in. Closed browser for an hour and opened back up and have to relog in or is that only for phones?

A device which records the amount of time a vehicle has been driven. If the vehicle is not being driven, the operator will manually input whether or not he/she is on duty or not.

Closing the browser will automatically cause you to be logged out. That's not something I've setup on my end, that's how the login sessions are handled by Web servers. But I'm going to add a feature that will give you the option of logging back in after you've been logged out without having to enter your credentials. I'll have that installed in the next few days.
