I have been with Averitt for 15 mo. so my memory of the physical may not be dead on.
I believe it was 100lb. You pick up a crate with weights in it and set it on a table. Use your legs, not your back. I would practice lifting before you go to orientation. The physical is fast paced, but thorough, and on the first day.
I will try to remember how it went for me: You go in and check in. They will call you back and first check for color blindness then vision. Next, you go into an exam room for the, well, exam. It is pretty standard. After that, it is the lift, then they take some hair and urine. That is pretty much it.
Good luck to you and feel free to ask any questions.

If I remember correctly, yes. I may have had to take a couple steps or something, but, it was really no big deal.

If you get the call just show up with confidence. We have a huge variety of folks driving here and we all had to lift the same thing. You got this.

Yeah, they carry a pretty high standard for us to follow. Many other companies do as well although they don`t have to wear uniforms. If I had to complain about something, that would be it. It is worth it though.
Yeh it will be alrite they also require a high school diploma right?

I don`t know the answer to that one. I do know they never asked to see my diploma.
