As of today I'm finally finished with my four weeks of OTR with my trainer! I didn't think I was gonna make it that long with him! Time to get on my own!

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Congrats DeJuan! I totally know what you mean about getting away from your trainer after 4 weeks. I think almost everyone feels like that by the end of training. I had an awesome trainer and it only lasted two weeks. We got along perfectly and he did an awesome job but man was I ready for my own truck!

Congrats DeJuan. I will still be with mine for 2 more weeks and i cant wait. My trainer can be a real ****. It got so bad once i told him too shut the **** the **** up. Since then he has been more bareable. I was coming out of a pull thru parking spot at a rest area and was trailer at left as i was going left. I was about 2 feet from the right curb and he keep yelling right right and then grab the wheel outa my hand and i slammed on the brakes and pulled the knob and told him to shut the **** up and get out and look at my trailer. I had already cleared the parked truck and there was 10 feet between his truck and my trailer. He was like "oh i guess you had it" lol. Been pretty good since.

Lol. I had to do that numerous times. I would drive 11 hours, get omff of an exit then he would come from the sleeper berth telling me where to turn. I said dude you haven't been up here tge whole trip don't come out when I finish trying to tell me where to go! He made me miss turns because of it.

Sleeper Berth:

The portion of the tractor behind the seats which acts as the "living space" for the driver. It generally contains a bed (or bunk beds), cabinets, lights, temperature control knobs, and 12 volt plugs for power.
