My company pays $50 for a reset away from home. Twice now, I have used that $50 to rent a small car from Enterprise (they pick you up), and go exploring. In North Carolina, the dog & I spent the day hiking in a National Forest. From Flagstaff, we went to Sedona to hike in the red rock country. A complete change of scenery, we were not truckers for a day.

Ahh, Sedona, one of the prettiest places on Earth. Which is why I chose that area to lay out a picnic for my girlfriend and propose to her. Going on 22 years now. dancing-banana.gif

TWIC:

Transportation Worker Identification Credential

Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.

Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
