I could go for some cow tipping

It's funny you mention that. I grew up in a small town and I'd always heard of cow tipping but never tried it. Now that I've raised them for a few years I think the entire thing is a joke on city people.

The theory is that you go out into a field at night and ram into a cow that's sleeping and knock them over. Well, there's a few problems with that:

1) Cows sleep lying down. They don't sleep standing up like a horse will sometimes. So you're not going to find a sleeping cow on its feet.

2) An adult cow usually weighs 1200-1800 pounds. The chances of a 150-250 pound person knocking them over is very, very slim. Trust me.

3) Cows are very sensitive to sound and movement. The chances of sneaking up on one undetected are very slim. The chances of sneaking up on a herd of them is nearly non-existent.

So I'm pretty sure the whole concept is simply a joke on city people to make them run into a cow pasture and spook the cows which will start them running all over the place and scares the daylights out of the city slicker who then runs for his life. That's my theory on it. smile.gif

Hey RedGator, while I was somewhere way up north in the North/Eastern states a WEL truck passed me as I was struggling to climb a hill and it made me stop and wonder how things are going for you. Glad to hear your settling into the lifestyle and still enjoying your new career. It's always fun to hear from you - thanks for stopping by for a minute.

:) Ill try to stop in more. Wel is all over the east coast tcross 80 to WI. Im always up there! Your more than Welcome to FB me:) But if you ever see a white Wel truck (1772) with a cute red head in it ya better stop to say hey:-) Feels good to prove all the nay sayers wrong. I kick *** az a driver, still get my nails done every 2 weeks ( you should see the looks I get jumping out this truck) and take a shower everyday (my trainer told me I wouldnt be able to do that) Guess I kick butt at planning too. And my on time delivery rate is 99% only time im late is when a receiver takes too long.
