Besides Schneider, are there any other companies with tankers that hire new drivers?

I think all companies want at least a year of experience otr. I can search but I don't know of any.

OTR:

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Prime also does tankers in the East. I think they only hire from East of Chicago. Give them a thought.

No, you don't need 1 year OTR experience to join Prime's tank division. This was according to my recruiter when I specifically asked that question. I was told that part of my training would be in the reefer division, then I could start solo in tank division. Unless policy has changed - this was last summer.

Typically, OTR companies want that 1 year OTR experience. Just a general rule of thumb. Some local companies still want that 1 year OTR, but it's not as prevalent as it used to be.

Now, tank companies wanting tank experience? That's pretty much standard, as I'm sure the OP as already seen.

Schneider and Prime will hire new drivers. Depending on your location, you might find some local tank companies - you'll have to do the legwork.
