Will I Be Fired For Hitting Curb?

As you've heard, Denver is covered with snow. Sunday morning it was falling very thick and I was driving the family to church in personal vehicle minivan. I missjudged the curb cutout for the entrance to the parking lot and jumped the curb going in. When I parked (hit the hole on the first try)wife noticed the right steer tire going flat. I'm not exactly a newbie, with 25 years of married safe driving, but many driver examiners consider hitting a curb autofail. Do you think the wife will fire me?

LoL!

I don't think you'll be fired because that would likely increase the burden put on your wife's shoulders. And firing you would let you off the hook too easy. Your wife would likely rather make you pay slowly over a long period of time.

Your sentence will likely include extra chores to help heal the pain of the hit to the bank account for tire repair/replacement and several occurrences of greater-than-normal backseat driving. Oh, and some smiling and lip-biting from you when she decides to ridicule you in front of all your friends. LoL!

I think you'll be given an opportunity to redeem yourself. :-)

Sitting in the shop now getting repairs out of pocket. I may need to start looking at my options just in case, there are some websites advertising. ;)

She may withhold some fun activities as well...

Apologize for being dumb, buy her some roses and chocolate plus dinner... = payment for damaging vehicle. (That's how it works for me at least... )

That snow was crazy! Monday morning on my way to school had at least five cars in the median or ditch and then a Cola truck jack knifed almost in the median and another truck completely on its side in the median! Talk about a late winter here in Colorado
