ok. So your all settled in. You just ate. You pee'd. Got your drink all set. You are looking at 300 miles on your navigation. Got your cruise set and here it comes. "You have a new message" you wanna ignore it but that unopened envelope is staring at you, just taunting you. You think "i can ignore you" when in reality its tearing you up inside. "What if the reciever canceled the shipment?" "what if there's an 89 car pile up ahead of me?" so it finally gets to you and you pull over and hit the button...... "Remember fleet, your dm's take lunch from 12 to 1 so please try to reframe from calling during these times" ughhh. Really?confused.gif

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

That's how it was set up at my previous company. Such a pain!

There's a way you can play the message over the speakers.

Have your volume turned on. Click on the New Message Logo and then hit Select on your QC.

Now it depends on your QC but you can play the message on most of them. Play around with it.

Yeah they push and push to make sure you arrive in their time frame. Then all of the sudden you get a message. I can use playback on mine to hear it, but if it is a load assignment.

Now I have 30 minutes to answer. I pull over and start working on it. Some loads take a little while to work on. And now they are asking you what you are stopped for and what is taking so long. wtf.gif

There has to be a better system.

Keep it safe out here, the life you save might be your own. Joe S (The Blue Angel).
