Did I seriously think day 9 was stressful? Wow! Failed my skills, bam right off the bat. Took lunch, fretted about it, practiced some more, tested again. KABOOM! Why there wasn't fireworks I do not know! ZERO points. There were some tears of joy I will admit. Think I am still in shock, not sure how I feel about it. Relief I am sure, I will be on the road Monday! Going to go ice my knee lol. Decompress Phew what a day.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Your knee will feel much better once you're able to learn how to float those gears. Probably won't happen till you're on your own. Your knee will thank you for it.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Yes for the time being. Got a chance to meet up with Red gator last night for a few minutes, and she keeps telling me I should do national. I may at some point but just starting to get better at the regional route. The time may come for me to go national, but not yet.

Regional:

Regional Route

Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
