Here we go boys and girls... Got my start date of Feb 23 for CDL school at Somerset CC in Somerset, KY!! Thanks to TT and Brett for the awesome information and all the folks that have taken the time to post in the forums. TT has positively influenced my decision to pursue a career in trucking after 30 years in healthcare. Can't wait to leave the corporate rat race and take charge of me. I plan a running post of my adventures and hope I can help the next future trucker as much as TT has helped me. Thanks again Brett. ~ GoCats

Got word yesterday, due to inclimate weather, start date has been pushed back to March 9. Gets me two more weeks with my boys so I'm not too disappointed. Windchill was 20 below last night!!

A disappointment, waiting an extra two weeks. (I'm in Memphis so we get some of the same weather a few days before you do.) I want to see how your career change goes. I was a school teacher for 11 years before I switched to trucking in December. Seems I'll be making about as much money, without writing lesson plans!! rofl-1.gif

After a 2 week and 1 day delay I finally started CDL class today!! Spent the morning filling out the requisite paperwork and continued with the CDL manual and watching videos throughout the afternoon. Thanks to the High Road Training Program it was basically a review and reinforcement session. So far so good...
