I think, don't quote me on this, that anything over 10 years doesn't show up on your driving record but I don't know how far companies can dig back into your past. Many say on their websites and ask on the applications up to 10 years prior. Based on that, I wouldn't bring it up unless a recruiter finds it and brings it up.

I have a total of 3 duis in my lifetime. i have applied for just about every company that sponsors and dont sponsor training. most will tell you that no more than 2 duis in a lifetime. most wont hire either. i did find one company that has accepted me. they are called SRT. they are a big compaany but run the 48. meaning everywhere in all weather and new york. i also have some local prehires if i wanna take a private school. most with tuition rembersment. my duis were 20 yrs ago for 2, and 16 yrs ago for the last. i havent drank since the last. its due to insurance rreasons they dont hire. but since yours were that long ago and only 2 in your life, you should qualify with most companies. if they say you dont, there must be other reasons.

Pre-hire letters are acceptance letters from trucking companies to students, or even potential students, to verify placement. The trucking companies are saying in writing that the student, or potential student, appears to meet the company's minimum hiring requirements and is welcome to attend their orientation at the company’s expense once he or she graduates from truck driving school and has their CDL in hand.
We have an excellent article that will help you Understand The Pre-Hire Process.
The people that receive a pre-hire letter are people who meet the company's minimum hiring requirements, but it is not an employment contract. It is an invitation to orientation, and the orientation itself is a prerequisite to employment.
During the orientation you will get a physical, drug screen, and background check done. These and other qualifications must be met before someone in orientation is officially hired.

Yes dui is a bummer. Some companies dont allow ANY in a lifetime, some 1, but with 2+ dui it doesn't matter how long ago or how sober now, most wont hire you. BUT most will hire you if you have a year or 2 experience. Great...huh? So where you get experience is maybe smaller local companies that do only check back 5-7 years. Just be honest about it with recruiters because they will find out anyway and it will probably waste a lot of everyones time if you are not up front about it and everything else.

Hello All,
When I was in my 20s I made some big mistakes I had gotten 2 dui over 13 years ago, since then I have nothing and have had a perfect driving record. I am just wondering how hard this will make getting a job in trucking. I do not even so much as smoke cigarettes these days.
