Look up dot medical requirements I know you can but it depends on how its controlled. Mostly the medicine and how much of it you take.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

I am Not a Doctor, so do your own research. #1, if your Injecting Insulin, then your disqualified from a CDL , that was the bad news... The good news is Type II Diabetes is a disease of choice and can be stopped by what you Eat.

Some People know that Type II can be a non issue if they change their Diet, It does take a major change, but the reward is 90% of people can get off of Type II Meds by learning what is really making everyone sick.. Search LCHF, IF, and Dr Jason Fung.. I could go on with a lot of different Dr's and Studies, but people have to want to change, so do your own studies and Good Luck..

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Once one has reached the point of Diabetes Mellitis II, dependent on insulin, I believe the disease is nearly impossible to reverse, as the body's ability to process glucose and keep it out of the blood stream is lost. Once the disease is advanced enough to need insulin, there's no turning back, even for those who completely change their lifestyle, as the body has become resistant to its own attempts to process glucose and insulin must be supplemented. It's a very complicated disease that's very difficult to manage, even in the opinion of many physicians.
