Well kinda. He is a better navigator. Never complains about my driving. Can't ask for a better partner.

He is a rescue dog. He is (I think) part Corgi and part Blue Heeler. The reason people were giving him away was because he would not quit chasing deer and elk... Like he even had a chance with those short legs. He weighs about 30 pounds and is about 2 years old.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Looks like a fine companion there Pat. I agree with you about looking like a Corgi Blue Heeler mix. Man, how you could ever expect a dog with that breeding to not chase after other herd type animals is beyond me. That's what is bred into a Corgi and a Blue Heeler. It's hard to train a dog to not do what it's breeding instinctively tells it to do.

I agree, hard but not impossible. A friend of mine has a pure red heeler and he has her trained up pretty good. She does still go after the cows but she stops when he yells at her. I would not want a dog any bigger than this one in a truck. Driving around today with my personal vehicle he just curled up on the seat and went to sleep.

That he will. The previous owner would take him on 3 mile runs. Not gonna happen with me unless there is a bear behind me.. shocked.png

We did go for three walks today though and he is now crashed at the foot of my bed.

I had an Australian cattle dog / collie mix years ago. When we had a group of people in the back yard for a barbecue, suddenly we noticed we were all standing together in a close group. The dog was sitting in the yard watching us. He herded us together without us even noticing as we talked.

Absolutely adorable!! You may want to consider getting him microchipped, my vet suggested it before I took my dog in the truck. Just in case he would go running off after some critter, you would have a chance of being reunited. Not very expensive, around 35-40 bucks for my girl.
