Benadryl being an antihistamine can cause drowsiness but it effects people differently. If you've taken it before and not had an issue with drowsiness, I wouldn't be too concerned but remember to take it with food.
I take it at bedtime to help me sleep because I cannot deal with my cpap without it.
CPAP is a breathing assist device which is worn over the mouth or nose. It provides nighttime relief for individuals who suffer from Sleep Apnea.
Shouldn't be an issue then.

Just got my list of suggested items to pack for orientation. It suggested cold and sinus meds but was specific to say no Nyquil or alkaseltzer type of meds. I'm not sure why but very curious about benadryl. Anyone have any insight on this.
