You don't need a Passenger Endorsement to bring someone with you on the truck. The Passenger Endorsement is for jobs where you transport people like Greyhound.
However, your company needs to know who is on the truck. Most companies generally charge a small fee to have a passenger onboard.
Thank you! That is what I thought but wanted to make sure.
Jonun, You will need written authorization from the company you are driving for. Without that, there is a very large fine.

I am working through the highroad program and am up to the passenger section. I dont have any desire right now to drive a bus or get my passenger endorsement. Would I need a passenger endorsement to bring a passenger in the truck???
Also, I love the program and appreciate you guys putting it together and offering it for free! I felt that there was no way I could cram all that information and feel confident when I take my test. While im not done yet, I feel that I am going to do great and am hoping to get it the first time.
