If you have a smartphone and you look in your apps there's a quallcom app... Anyone know anything about that

There is a smartwatch app called Qualcomm Toq, but it has nothing to do with the Qualcomm in trucks. There is a supposed feature in the Qualcomm unit that will send messages to a phone, but from my reading most companies disable this for some reason. Not sure why someone would want it going to their phone though, unless it was for the screen size.

Qualcomm:

Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.

I imagine it is because truckers sometimes leave their truck for a shower or a meal and can't take the Quallcom with them.

I wish my company would atleast sens load headers to my phone, it is always on, when i shut the truck down after about an hour my Qualcomm shuts down and if i want to check to see if the company has sent me anything I have to turn the key on, and wait for it to boot up.
