Is There Anyone That Is Working As A Team For Celadon Or Previously Worked There??

Hello, I have been driving for about 9.5 years, mostly pulling a tank. My husband wants to get his CDL. I researched CR England, Schneider, and CRST for him to start with and Celadon by far seems to be the best place for him to start out at. I am going to work there for 30 days as a solo driver so that by the time he comes out of school, I can be his trainer. My question is though, once we are able to be an actual team, how many miles are the teams actually running? They told me 5500 + but I'm figuring it at 5000. How are they to drive for? I read mixed reviews. My highest selling point was the teams don't go to the NYC plus the pay seems quite better than the others I looked at. I will be grateful for any opinions.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

What about Prime, or Swift, or Werner, or other firms?

With my experience, I have never heard anything good about Swift or Werner so I didn't even bother looking into the them for us as a team. As far as Prime, didn't think about them. Will look into it, but so far Celadon is looking like the better company. I just want some advice for any teams that are working there or have worked there before.
