Got a call from my current employer saying that while doing a background check, there was a Medcert/Decertified Notification showing.
I called the MVC and couldn't get through coz of too many callers. Got a msg to either mail or fax a CDL HOLDER SELF-CERTIFICATION and A CURRENT MEDICAL EXAMINERS CERTIFICATE.
Apparently these are required as per FMCSA and NEW JERSEY REGULATIONS.
I don't know exactly who this pertains to but you really need to visit your state's DMV/MVC website or call for more info. Failure to do this will result in your cdl being downgraded.
THIS PERTAINS TO YOUR MED CERT. THE MVC NOW WANTS A COPY OF IT ON FILE, FAILURE TO DO SO "DOWNGRADES" YOUR CDL. IM NOT SURE WHAT A DOWNGRADE IS... I GOT DOWNGRADED WHILE MY MED CERT WAS ON ITS WAY IN THE MAIL TO THEM AND I HAD TO GO THERE AND TALK TO SOMEONE. IT HELPS IF YOU ALSO GOT A PAPER BACK SAYING THEY GOT YOUR MED CERT, JUST SHOW THAT TO THE MVC AND THEY UPGRADE YOU. I HOPE THAT HELPS...
