No classes Saturday and Sunday. He will have an opportunity to take his car home after he upgrades or before he upgrades. Or they will let him keep it in Joplin.

Are there classes on Saturdays and Sundays?

I read that you drove from Montana to Missouri. H ow will it work with you getting your vehicle back to Montana if you are assigned a truck?

Like Scott said, there is no classes on weekends. I will most likely take my car home after CFI orientation.

1-29-17 Day 6 of school Today we did a little classroom time and learned about railroad safety, emergency maneuvers, and space management. We spent the rest of the morning learning and practicing sight side parallel parking. We spent the afternoon practicing our parallel parking more as well as doing a short drive on the actual roads in the area of the college. This is so we can put together everything we have learned so far: up and downshifting, turns, etc. This Friday we will have a mid-term test as well as a test on a pre trip inspection. Things seem to be progressing well.

Don't know Crowder's class hours. Classes are Monday through Friday. Generally 8 hours per day. School os four weeks. After that it's back to Joplin for four days of orientation. You are paid $100.00 for orientation. After orientation, you have the option of going straight out with a trainer or going home for up to 7 days. Hope that helps.

1-30-18 Day 7 of school Today, we started out with a quiz from our reading homework the night before. If you read the material and do the review questions at the end of each chapter, you will do fine. Next, we completed a graded road trip with one of our instructors. I was very happy to get a 93%. This drive was to test our skills of driving a combination vehicle from shifting to speed and other aspects of driving. We spent the rest of the morning working on driver side parallel parking. We practiced a little more in the afternoon as well. Finally, we were shown blind side parallel parking and practiced that maneuver.

Combination Vehicle:

A vehicle with two separate parts - the power unit (tractor) and the trailer. Tractor-trailers are considered combination vehicles.

1-31-18 Day 8 of school Today we practiced our sight side and blind side parallel parking. To tomorrow we will be tested on a pre trip inspection. We also have a midterm test tomorrow. As you can see, we spend a lot of time on backing which is important since its one of the more difficult things to do.
