Whom are at the Morris TA?

I see a lot of Swifties here. I checked the TT MAP and many are jumbled up here. Seeing I had to take my 30, I would indulge in the RPlace here. Anyway if you are still here before I leave I'll buy you cup of JO.

I had a backing incident today.

Well thanks for the support all. I know I did wrong when the trailer slid to the right on that ice. After it happened they came out with ricksalt for the dock area and the city brought out the sand and salt combo for the road. I have been scheduled for close quarter class at one of our terminals. I just need to get it scheduled. I'm going to try to get it done in PA since I'm going to be unloading a Nestle load there.

I have no problem admitting my mistakes, no one else made them but me. Plus telling it on TT, could help someone else out.

I had a backing incident today.

I was trying to back (uphill in ice), no traction, no power. Well anyway I slid on the ice and right corner put a 14 inch gash in the parked trailer next to the spot I was going into. So I told the shipper and did some paperwork. This place was not meant for sleeper trucks. Day cabs have trouble getting in there. So sent all pics and info to claims and they said they would get back to me. After this happened the shipper sent someone out with rocksalt to Salt the dock driveway. And the city sent someone out to dust the street. Not saying it was all the ice's fault, because I was the one in the driver's seat. The tractor on the other side was a day cab, and his fender mirrors were sticking out so far I almost hit them as well. Has not been a good week.

What is your most unpleasant task per week?

Big T So true. I got assignment this morning and it supposed to be picked yesterday. And he says for me to put in a macro 22. Now where is the logic in that? But now the first snow in southern Illinois and I witnessed a Doge Charger spin out behind me. And when I thought it too much snow coming down I get to the 1st off ramp and a big rig is jackknifed just off the off ramp. But seemed to be ok. People think they can drive the same speeds in snow as dry pavement.

What is your most unpleasant task per week?

I can take changing around on shifts. I can take having to be told it is a drop and turns out to be a live unload. I can take that not being informed of a load being taken away without explanation. I can take that going to a truck stop and they say the water heater broke and it's not installed yet so no shower tonight. But having to cross the street to another truck stop that we usually never frequent (66 station) where they have showers and laundry facilities and this is the 3rd Love's that has laundry facilities. That going a bit too far. They would rather put a game's room's in instead. It's like having a elevator in an outhouse, it doesn't belong. Well enough whinning. But do tell me what is yours?

Got an Idea for the Forum that Might Make it Even More of a Experience Brett if You will about it....

Rainy would never lose her dungeon. She keeps it in her pocket for future use with some unexpected stranger. But who knows what tomorrow brings. I'm not fond of the real time chat either. But if anyone can pull it of it would be Brett. I mean isn't TT AWSOME!

Well be safe out there everyone, we (Swift driver) had an accident yesterday. Dispatch said it wasn't from my home terminal but it happened.
