I agree with Errol. Plenty of those out there. If someone is passing me and traffic builds up behind them ill slow down enough to let them over. There are also alot of respectful and polite drivers as this forum shows.

GREAT ANSWER!

I do that too. I wish others would. With goverend speeds, I run into the problem that one driver might be 1 MPH faster than the other. That's what takes two minutes to get around, blocking both lanes. If I'm the slow one, I also slide my cruise control down, and allow the other driver to pass. It sure makes the world go round more smoothly!

Im so glad to hear this. I seriously thought i was the only driver on the road that did this. I personally kick my cruise off and slow down a few mph until they get far enough ahead then i put my cruise back on.

I constantly do this. I'd much rather not have a truck hanging out on my rear left trailer for longer than it takes. Just no sense in risking it.

Indeed not only is it common courtesy but it's far safer. You don't want to be riding down the highway side by side with anyone at all if you can help it, and most of the time you can help it. You need an "out" if something goes wrong in front of you and there isn't enough time to get stopped. If you're pinned between a truck and a guardrail where are you gonna go?

I never wanted anyone alongside of me.

I despise traveling with a big truck next to me when I'm in my tiny Fiat. I'm always worried about the possible things that could go wrong. I doubt I'll feel much different in a big truck. Safety first. I want to get back home to my family, and I'm sure the others want to as well. So if I can help them do that, I certainly will.

(Long ago I had a Fiat 760. "FIAT", you know, stands for Fix It Again Tony!)

Like Brett says, no matter what you're driving, you should always have an "out" from any possible situation. Fiat or Frieghtliner, it's not the best place being right next to a semi-truck on the freeway. Changing your speed and shift away from that location is the best you can do.
