I have been the wife of a trucker.. currently divorced, but that was not due to trucking lol. I would go along when I could escape my daily grind and loved every minute of my time on the road.. so much so, well here I am in cdl school.

Ask away and I'll try to answer the best I can!

  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.

I am a trucker wife to Daniel B. the moderator on here. It's not something every woman can handle. Trucking can break your family, luckily we have stayed together and in love while he's out there. It takes a lot of trust on both people.

Olga B. Grandma Liz here, hi dear I will tell you that being married to a trucker is just like being married to a military man in the 82nd air borne infantry division. They are gone all of the time and yes you worry so much and wonder so much. You have to believe in your faith and your trust of your husband while on the road. It takes so much strength and your mind will wonder every minute he is on the road. Do not let so called friends and so called family put evil thoughts into your mind because they will try anything to put any doubt into your mind. Stay strong and believing the love between you and your man.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
