Times coming for me to choose my truck and I would like to hear some feedback on both. Two choices are Volvo vn670 or international prostar.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

I'm training in the Volvo. I feel it has less space than the cascadia I drove in school albeit a fridge and microwave are taking up space. My instructor says the international and cascadia have similar room. I personally am hoping for one of the latter once released from training.

Personally, I preferred the pro star. It has more room, rides a bit smoother and has the more traditional look as far as gauges and such. The Volvo is nice, don't get me wrong, I just liked the pro star more.

I cry foul! Where in the world are you working Michael? I never got to choose my truck of choice! I was once assigned an old Freightliner with 997.000 miles on her. That truck smelled like a wet dog that had gotten wet at the city waste water treatment plant, and had a mattress in the bunk that a homeless man would have rejected!

Okay, times aren't so bad for me now, and I do love my Volvo 670. But here's the deal on this - it is really going to boil down to your personal preference. I'll say this, if you are a big guy I think you will prefer the ProStar. I like the way those trucks are laid out inside, the bunks are wider and they even seem a little longer to me. I just like the way it is organized inside.

What I really like about this Volvo is the turning radius. I run a dedicated truck for a customer who is all the time sending me into little towns up in the Northeast that are still laid out with the original thought of having an ox-drawn cart be the primary means for getting freight in and out of their towns. So, that Volvo has served me well in those places.
