I don't know the first thing about propane-powered diesels to be honest with ya. And I wouldn't expect anyone to know that honestly. I mean, it's so rare and it certainly isn't taught in any schools so they can't expect you to know that stuff. I'm sure they're prepared to teach you anything special you would need to know.
KaTow, you sure it's propane powered? Many companies are starting to run CNG - compressed natural gas.
We have a number of CNG trucks ( not propane) in the west of Canada as the gas companies have created the infrastructure .... some mixed results but for the most part it has been positive ...as long as the infrastructure is being built it could be the future along with automatics... They are pulling LCVs from Manitoba through to Alberta currently..... no difference in what you need to know other then the fuel required is only available at certain places so trip planning is easier ATM ( they have refuel areas available at terminals )
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Yea your biggest worry will be where to fill the tank, other than that relax and know you are polluting much much less than a diesel.

Thanks all. A few hours after I posted, I realized I probably do mean Nat'l Gas. Good place to start would be knowing what they really are running! It's a back-and-forth 30-mile haul, so there shouldn't be any searching for fuel-ups.

Got my Class A on Monday. I'm looking to gain some experience with local companies, and one runs new, propane, Kenworths (I think). What should a newbie know about operation and safety--different from diesels--so i don't feel like an idiot when i first talk with someone?
Thanks!
