Does anyone if there is one what the policy on tattoos are at Prime Inc. I'm about to call my recruiter at Prime and pull the trigger for orientation but I have hand tattoos. Nothing vulgar but obvious. Roehl is after me to join them as well. Any insight would be very helpful. Thanks everyone

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

I drive for Prime. No tat policy I am aware of. You'll have plenty of folks to compare ink with!

Sorry to bring up a dead thread, but can someone tell me if I'll need to cover my sleeve while in orientation? Also, take out piercings? I realize it's like one big interview, so I wasn't sure how proper I need to dress for orientation week. Jeans and a tee ok? Trying to conserve space in my bag.

It's not like you're working in a bank, Miss Red. It doesn't hurt to ask, but I've seen many truckers tatted out.

For school, dress for working outside. Be sure to wear good shoes. Ankle high work boots maybe.

Wearing jeans & t-shirt will be just fine. I would recommend work boots instead of sneakers when you go out to get around the trucks. Steel toed shoes not required but highly recommended. Not many shippers/receivers that require them, but there is that occasional one that does.

As was mentioned earlier in this thread, Prime does not have a tat policy that I am aware of (unless they changed that in the last 2 years since I left). That would be a very good question to ask your recruiter.

I'm tattooed behind the neck and half my back is covered in art. My long hair covers it so it shouldn't be an issue. And you can't see my piercing so...lol

Just go to a truck stop and look at half the population. Then you will have your answer lol

Exactly.
