Truck driver fells 30-foot tree, drags it 2 miles, police say

The tree, which was 10- to 14-inches in diameter, became stuck on the truck and was dragged 2.3 miles, damaging 19 mailboxes, hitting four utility poles and taking down a stop sign in the church parking lot before it dislodged.

Wow! hard to believe that said person could drag a 30 foot tree for 2+ miles and not be spotted by someone. I can only guess to how much noise that makes.

It wasn't me. I have an alibi. I was in...where was I. Let me check my logs. I was in the Gretna, Nebraska, Rest Area (westbound), according to my logs.

It almost looks like he drove over it or something.
