To apply for company-sponsored driving schools. I don't plan on attending school until June or July of next year because my lease on my apartment ends in July.

I would like to know this as well

This is just a guess. If a recruiter had a live one that wants to wait 6 months, that's better than not having a customer at all. The only danger is you might just drift away between now and July.

So, I suggest get your ducks in a row now and get studying!

I have the same question but i want to start in mid march... most of winter should be over and my flex 1 semester of spring in college will be done.

I was told to call back closer to the date I wanted to start

how much closer though? I mean by definition if you wanted to be a smart ass you could call back the next day and say "well it is closer than yesterday" but that would prob hurt you more than help. Did they say anything like a month before... 2 month, 3, 4... weeks... days?

I'd speak directly with recruiters about that, it shouldn't harm anything.

When I applied to Roehl and Prime, it was about two months before I planned to attend. Both companies were happy to provide me with an orientation date that far out.
