You people in the know correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC I think most no-idle states have exemptions to the law if the temperature is beyond a certain range either way (extreme cold or heat). So if its crazy cold I think you can still idle in most places.

You're absolutely correct if it's cold enough to gel up fuel then you will be ok to idle.

The diesel 911 works in some instances but not all. If a fuel system gels bad enough, the only way to clean it out is to pull the fuel filter and the fuel line at the main rail where it goes into the engine and then blow the lines clean (not a fun process). The best bet is to take the precautions to keep it from happening in the first place.

I Ran ND a lot,,, with a 2014 Cascadia with Calif. clean Idle which would shut off after 5 minutes !!! would put it in high Idle (PTO) to cheat the system, ran all night until it wanted a ReGen. If you wern't there or awake to push the Regen button,,, the engine would shut down and turn into an Ice Cube if you were in a Motel. Would end up in Limp Mode going to a Dealer for help IF you got it Started

Robert B, that's probably right. I didn't want to hand type the whole message, but it's OK to buy anti-gel with your ComData card.

I personally probably will not have this privilege since I have a regional account that stays Ohio and South.

So far in Ohio its been decent weather if not strange...but like they say in this region if you don't like the weather wait five minutes it will change

Regional:

Regional Route

Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
