I actually saw one too today. It wasn't an Andretti but it was definitely some kind of sports cars I forgot the name I saw it this morning. I too wonder how do they get that job? 30 years experience with no accidents? Haha, beats me! I wish I knew how much they got paid yearly.
You'd have to have a ton of experience and you'd have to know someone on the inside at one of those teams.
Those guys don't just drive though. That's a brutal lifestyle because they usually have to help load the trucks, are accountable to make sure all of the inventory is on the truck before it leaves the shop, and they work all weekend at the track. It sounds like a great job but I've spoken with a few of those guys and they work 7 days a week. They run to the tracks on weekends and to testing sites during the week. They go 24/7. Barely get a chance to breathe.

NO, I didn't land a "cream puff" job towing race cars or sleeping trailers around for a race team. I just happened to see one today whwn I was in Avoca.
How does one get a job like that?
