Theron - since you are still in research stage, do as I have done and download some applications. Create a word document with your employment and medical history and use that as your resource when you go to school and really begin to fill-out apps.

As I'm sure your reading in this forum, being organized is a key to having a successful career, so why not start now.

They are also looking to make sure you are not jumping from truck company to cimpnay. One guy in my class had already been to three different driving schools and didn't finish the training at any of them. Would you want to fund his trainig? There's a reason why people get kicked out.... an d he left that off his paperwork. When the fouND out they booted him.

They want to look for stability and commitment. If you didnt work but have a college degree it will show you can commit to something. If you were layer off it is not your fault so show them any papers you have to prove that.

As for the stay at home mom thing...I would just say talk to them and explain. These companies seem to go on case by case basis.
