Thanks for the welcoming. I hope not to disappoint. Since I am in school during the week, it will probably be the weekends before I can get to indepth.

Hello ;)
New! Check out our help videos for a better understanding of our forum features
Greetings TT staff and members,
I have been visiting this site daily (sometimes for hours on end) for over a month now. I am truly grateful for the information that I have acquired while visiting. Therefore, I figured it was time to become a part of the community and contribute in some fashion.
First, I would like to say that TT is the best site online for newbies to visit. I took all the High Road tests. I acquired my permit and all endorsements (still waiting for HAZMAT background check to arrive) in one day, only one week after getting the manual from my local DMV. I attribute that to the High Road series of tests. Having multiple tests available really helped direct my personal studies. For that, thank you for developing them.
Secondly, Trucking Truth is exactly that. I can't say how much I've enjoyed the down-to-earth and forthright responses that Brett and his crew offer to those with inquiries concerning the industry. The staff, and members, seem to be very understanding that those who are considering this line of work come from all walks of life and different circumstances. As opposed to other sites available online, I find the realistic approach by TT to be nonjudgmental, while yet tactfully practical. Trust me, I never thought, at age 40, I was going to have to consider a career change as drastic as I the one I have embarked upon. Yet, the encouragement the staff and members here provided to others made it seem as though I was not alone. That may sound corny, but it is true nonetheless.
Thirdly, I am going to have a lot to share over the next couple of months to, in a sense, payback, not just TT, but the industry as a whole, in the form of posts concerning my experiences from day one. Considering, and then pursuing, this industry has been an even more adventurous than I could have ever anticipated. The different variables that come into play are so overwhelming that I doubt there are too many other industries that can provide such a mix of excitement, uncertainty and challenge. I want share all of my experiences so that "the next guy" (or girl) has the them to consider along with all the other information already available here at TT.
Over the next several months I intend to provide:
1> A full scale review of SEC Training Centers in Flowood, MS (since there is not much out there on the net about this school) that I have been attending for the past two weeks.
2> My experiences in choosing and then starting with a trucking company including the orientation and training process.
3> An opinionated analysis of why a place like TT is so relevant in today's trucking industry and what it has done for me recently.
Also, from now on, instead of being a voyeur, I intend to participate in the forum and be a part of this community.
Call me Sax. I am a husband, a father, and a man who is a few short weeks from being a trucker. I'll take the good, the bad, and the rest. For once I commit, I am all in.
Again, thank you, TT,
Sax
