The Q.C can read the messages to you so you don't have to stop. Also the messages can be flagged important, urgent, or just regular. And its always in caps.

If you get a message while driving, you won't be able to open the message to read it.
Follow these steps:
* From the top menu, select Messages.
* Touch on the screen.
* On the right side, push the "DOT" button in the center of the cursor controls.
The GPS lady should be reading the text to you, unless you made her upset & she refuses to speak to you.

It seems silly, but sometimes my GPS lady doesn't want to talk to me. I try pushing her buttons several times and all I get is silence. I got her a Valentines card for today. I hope that helps!

My Qualcomm co-driver gets nervous in big cities sometimes. Three days ago I was heading into New Jersey for my first time and she quit reading directions to me. Maybe she smells fear and wants me to push through it.

If you have more than one driver logged into the Qualcomm , messages can be rad while the truck is in motion. If only one driver than listening to them is your only option.
Even if you have 2 drivers logged in, it is not a good idea to read them while driving.

So I was cooking breakfast and was wondering when it comes to a Qualcomm message does one stop to read it or risk reading while driving? I would think that due to a tight schedule one wouldn't have time to stop, also would you get in trouble with you're company(in truck camera) if you didn't stop? Do companies have rulers about Qualcomm's like they do with cellphones?
Qualcomm:
Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.
