I took my drug test and went over the HR stuff. I'll be back with my old company, in a new truck, on April 1st. I got off the road back in July, but miss it too much. Driving a desk is no comparison to the road.

Welcome back Flatwater!

It's great to hear from you again, and I hope your family is doing well - looks like everyone will have to get accustomed to you being in a truck again.

Hey, Old School! I'm glad to be back. Still lurked and browsed everyday, but left the comments to the professionals... smile.gif The family is doing great, fat n sassy, and they're just as excited as me.

Going back to the same company, pulling regional hoppers. Great company, good equipment, good money and home every Friday. I can't wait!

Regional:

Regional Route

Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.

Hey that's great man! Glad to hear it and glad to see you back here.

And never hesitate to jump in and help out when you see an opportunity. You don't need three hundred years behind the wheel to have good, helpful knowledge for new drivers coming into the industry.

I came off the road at various times to either take a break from it or try something new. One time I took about 18 months away and went to school for Harley Davidson mechanics and welding. Worked at a Harley Dealership for a short time after that but man was that boring! I missed the road and only made less than half the money I made driving truck so I went back on the road. Great experience doing all of that, but living on the road was a much better life for me so back to the highways I went.
