Any body know of companies that hire new cdl drivers with no experience

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

There are tons out there...

Swift, CR England, CRST, just to name a ffew.....

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

James, the term you are looking for is "Recent Grads". That means you just got your CDL , buy to really don't have the road training yet.

Did you go thru an accredited Driving School? Didn't your school offer job placement as a part of your training?

I went thru CDA Celadon Driving Academy and I paided for it out of pocket so didn't have a contact with them

Ok gotcha'. Is there a reason you didn't want to drive for Celadon? I've read good things about them.

They offered me the 18 com that they offer the students that get their training paid for so I declined the offer and trying to see if there is any other options or if I have to bite the bullet and drive for 18 com for 6 months
