Been looking at some company websites..can someone explain the light weight trucks? Same comfort in sleeper? I'm sure they are fuel efficient but can they carry same load??

Smaller sleeper and lighter tractor so you can haul more weight in the trailer. There's a detailed post on here about Primes lightweight truck, by Daniel B. has pics too. Prime pays more cpm to drive the LW truck.

CPM:

Cents Per Mile

Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.

Basically the sleeper is right behind the seat... so there is NO cabinet space and no top bunk. Most drivers take out the passenger seat to.put some kind of drawers or fridge.

I personally felt claustrophobic. .. and if you intend on ever bringing a passenger like a wife or gf.. then this is not the truck for you. I'm sure some do it.

At prime they pat 44.5 cpm for LT and 39.5 cpm for full size. It works put to like a 5 to 6000 difference annually.

If you go on YouTube and search prime lighyweight truck you will find videos of different models. One thing I see newbies do is "I'm going to go pick my truck from the yard.. I want an international... not cascadia.." or whatever. As a compnay driver they hand you a paper with your teuck number. You don't get to pick the make and model. "But I'll just see what they have.... cause I really want a Pete". good luck with that. Lol. You can choose a full size over lightweight though.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
