Kill'em with kindness. Lots of egos out there on the road huh rebel.
I'm feeling your pain Rebel, sometimes that Karma has hell to pay!
I'm getting an early start working on that Karma fund. This morning, commuting to work in the snow (so I have a 4 wheeler instead of my usual motorcycle) on north bound Santa Fe Dr, Denver, they have a brand new overpass onramp from Santa Fe Dr to NB I-25. I know the right two lanes of Santa Fe Dr exit onto the ramp but only the left most lane enters I-25 and the right lane has to merge while on the ramp. So I'm in the left lane as I always am, and a semi behind me in the right lane. Traffic was backed up tight and slow because of an accident on I-25 after the ramp so there was no space to change lanes. Before the semi even had his turn signal on, I stopped my 4 wheeler and held the back the left lane until he could merge left in front of me. I hope he appreciated it and had a good rest of the day.
I used to turn my cb off when I got into truck stops, amazing how bold people can be when they're anonymous. I guess some drivers forget that they were once a rookie too.
I think one of the toughest things to do is to set your own high standards and live by them no matter how low others may set their own standards.
It difficult at times being nice when someone is being a jerk to you - ya just wanna slug em! But you have to maintain your integrity and stick with your own standards.
There's a fantastic saying that we all need to remember:
Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
We've all been suckered into it at one time or another. People around you start acting like idiots and suddenly you find yourself caught up in it. You catch yourself and snap out of it, thinking
"What am I doing??? DUH! I know better!!!"

I know all of ya fresh fish in the bowl will take after some of your trainers but look ya can decide what is a good attitude to a poor one,I say this BC some the other day I tried to pull thru a spot which I haven't done for 3 yrs, so I thought I'd give it a try to see how much I Remember well there I go...I get stuck so I've got to backup. I asked Ace to step out and yell if I'm goin to hit something and assist in guiding me for it would be a blindside back out.
She goes and helps me we just about got it when low and behold some driver says on the radio why don't ya take a different spot instead of looking like a dumbarse? Could he not see I was goin to do just that but I had to backup first? He coulda plainly seen but refused to see For his trainer had the same attitude no doubt and that's where he picked it up from.
I post this to hopefully let ya'll know the better attitude ya give the better attitude ya will receive. Don't be an arse and down others because there will be another there to see your faults. Trust me, I learned the hard way. When I had a fast truck it was all get out of my way! Now I've got Karma to deal with.
