I gotcha. I'm planning on going company to learn the ropes first. Just doing research.

Fairy your a adult I am not trying to tell you what todo. But i would not do a lease 100% of the cost with out ever owning something to me sounds financially unsound. You really want to be your own boss get a few years under your belt get some brake downs see how much that cost and if you still want to be your own boss buy a used truck that dose not brake the bank. That's my thoughts.

As a lease operator for the past 10 months I have spend right at 55000 dollars on fuel. My average is .17 a mile. My MPG is at 8.55 miles per gallon with a 10 speed Freightliner 2016. After all fixed and variable expenses are calculated I am averaging 39.5 cents a mile. I am also averaging between 5000 to 6000 miles weekly with a co driver. This does not include the .10 a mile emergency fund I've Established.

My rate of return is not typical and many of the experts on this forum are correct. I am now an instructor/trainer with Prime. I also highly suggest running as a company driver to students for a while before thinking about running any business. If you have no savings at the start you can find your way into a mess real quick.

You must have been running teams.

I have filled every day this week and will again tomorrow. Each time it is $200+ so I will spend over 1k this week. When we were at $4+ per gallon it would take between $400 and 600 to fill up. Was a different truck with bigger tanks.
