I don't think they force you to go out of country. And if you don't have a passport, or whatever they require to GET BACK INTO the US...then they can't send ya !!! Theres enough freight for them to keep you in the lower 48. Just tell them upfront, so theres no mistakes.
They almost certainly do not go into Mexico. Although there may be some, I'm not aware of any American companies that drive in Mexico. They take the freight to the border, drop it off, and Mexican trucks take it into Mexico.
I'm not sure if they run Canada or not. A lot of companies do, but certainly not all of them. And unless a company's core business is running freight to Canada, they're not going to require you to qualify to go there as a condition of hire. But if you are qualified to go there they could send you.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something but my understanding is the CR England goes into Canada and Mexico.
I called a recruiter and was told that OTR does not go into Canada or Mexico.
Can anyone confirm one way or another?
Also, if OTR does go into Canada/Mexico, is the driver forced to go into either of these countries?
Thanks,
Mark
OTR:
Over The Road
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
